Hazard: Failed to meet the required fire safety standards

The product has been identified as presenting a serious risk of fire as the fabric cover fails to meet the requirements of the relevant standard BS5852. If the cover of the sofa came into contact with a naked flame, it would catch fire and continue to flame.

The product does not meet the requirements of the Furniture and Furnishings (Fire) (Safety) Regulations 1988.

Remedy: Avoid contact with fire sources

In the meantime, your Sofa/footstool can still be used, provided you ensure it doesn’t come into contact with fire sources for example, matches.
