Product: Target RECALLS 2.2 million candles


Threshold 1-Wick Candles in 5.5-oz. jars
Threshold 3-Wick Candles in 20-oz. ounce jars, in multiple scents.

The recalled candles sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide from February 2020 through July 2023 for between $3 and $12. Earlier this year, Target also recalled 4.9 million Threshold Candles for the same problem — the glass jar breaking during use. There were 137 incidents, including 6 people who suffered lacerations or severe burns.

Hazard: Potential for lacerations or severe burns.

Remedy:  Target is asking consumers to immediately stop using the recalled candles and return them to any Target store for a full refund.

 

Product:  Sensio recalls 860,000 Bella pressure cookers

The recalled pressure cookers were sold at JCPenney, Kohl’s, Lowe’s, Macy’s and Target stores nationwide, and online at Amazon.com and other websites from September 2015 through September 2020.

 

Product:  Costco recalled about 350,000 Ubio Labs Power Banks.

The recalled power banks are black and have the model number PWB1071 printed on the back.

The item number for the single pack is 1314518, and the item number for the two-pack is 1265470.
The recalled power banks were sold at Costco stores nationwide and online from March 2019 through December 2020 for the 1-pack, and between September 2018 through December 2020 for the 2-pack.

Hazard : Reports of Fires

After 3 reports of fires, including one fire on a plane during a commercial flight.

 

Product:   1.5 Million Dehumidifiers Recalled

The recall involves 42 models of dehumidifiers with brand-names like Kenmore, GE, SoleusAir, Norpole and Seabreeze.

Hazard: After 23 Fires Reported

GE previously recalled about 2.5 million dehumidifiers after they were linked to 4 deaths in house fires, 2,000 reports of overheating, around 450 fires, and $19 million in property damage.

Remedy: Safety officials are urging consumers to immediately stop using the dehumidifiers.

Hazard: Fall and injury

The towers can tip over while in use hazards to young children.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled Simplay3 Toddler Tower

Take it away from children and contact the firm to receive a free set of stabilizing bases to be attached to the toddler tower.
